If you use various communication and collaboration tools like email, chat, shared docs , task board, video calls etc on your project, you must agree on response times for these.

Urgent is overrated. ASAP is toxic. Keeping someone blocked though, is insensitive. 

Establish protocols for each medium of communication in terms of how long can the messages be or what response times to expect. This helps people set the right expectations when they reach out to colleagues or peers and await feedback or a response. Here’s a sensible default you can start with.
